Description: JOB SUMMARY The Controller manages finance functions and personnel at manufacturing operation in Chester Township, PA.
Hands-on position that will oversee all of the accounting and financial reporting functions.
Business Partner with Operations and Administrative departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manage three direct reports (Accounting Supervisor, Cost Accountant and A/P clerk).
Oversee day to day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, Payroll, Inventory / Job Costing, PP&E, banking, and time reporting.
Lead, train and develop professional and clerical staff with a focus on process improvements and automation.
Oversee weekly cash forecasting and monthly financial close and account reconciliation process ensuring accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the data.
Update and maintain rolling 12 month financial forecast Provide time sensitive and accurate reporting to corporate parent on monthly / quarterly / HY / annual basis.
Prepare 5 year Strategic and Financial Plans.
Lead and facilitate annual Budgeting process and monitor departmental budgets throughout the year.
Develop full understanding of Macola, Paylocity and Kronos.
Monitor and enhance internal controls, policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to Finance Manual Ensure adherence to BACM (Bribery Act Compliance Manual) Ensure adherence to BEIS controls (internal controls) Manage and oversee all internal and external financial and compliance audits.
Liaison with Chemring US parent Company and other North American businesses and oversee intercompany transactions.
Assures compliance with corporate and local government safety, health and environmental rules, policies and procedures.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Other related duties and special projects as determined by management SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY Typically supervises a variety of staff-level exempt employees Reports to CCM CFO Requirements: EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required Master’s Degree and/or CPA is preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum of ten years of accounting / finance experience Minimum five years or more supervisory experience with two years overseeing an entire accounting/finance department Experience working in manufacturing environment and/or public accounting a plus SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.
S.
Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance required Experience using Macola a plus.
Knowledge of Government cost accounting standards (CAS) and/or IFRS, a plus.
Expert level of proficiency with MS Excel.
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently.
Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Use of computer.
