Job Title: Food Service Bookkeeper
Reports To: Director of Dining Services
Job Purpose: To determine eligibility of school meal applications and support the efforts of the Food Services Department in providing a high level of service to community families.
Qualifications-Required:
High School Diploma
Knowledge of procedures completed by a Determining Official
Demonstrate strong typing skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Highly organized and highly accurate
Working knowledge of basic office procedures
Working knowledge of the operation of common office equipment and machines
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Google Docs, Mosaic Point of Sale
Strong general computer skills
Excellent attendance
Able to meet required time lines and maintain communication regarding status of the work
Able to work with members of a team
Able to multi-task
Able to maintain confidentiality
Able to work independently
Able to pass the mandatory pre-employment physical, including drug screening.
Able to pass mandatory criminal history screening and sexual misconduct/child abuse disclosure
Qualifications-Desired:
Experience as office staff in a school district
Experience Infinite Campus reporting
Experience with Mosiac Point of Sale program
Experience with MySchoolApps program
USDA Training
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs the normal office routines and practices associated to Dining Services
Assist Department staff with Mosaic Point of Sale inquiries
Provides clerical support to the assigned office
Determine Free/reduced school meals applications
Complete Verification process annually
Complete Direct Certification four times annually
Dining Services ASSA free/reduced meal point person for the school district
McKinney Vento and DCP&P updates
Knowledge SNAP and P-EBT programs
Secures appropriate information
Performs and completes tasks as directed and assigned by the administrator who oversees the office
Performs tasks with little to no supervision
Takes accurate phone messages for the administrator
Takes accurate information from parents/guardians
Creates and maintains a clean, attractive, orderly safe, and efficient office environment
Continues to provide efficient work through the collaboration with fellow office staff members
Prepares reports as requested by the administrator
Exhibits a welcoming and friendly personality to all visitors to the department
Maintains reports, records and any other office documents as directed by the administrator
Additional duties as assigned by administration

Bookkeeper Minimum Annual Salary is $40,000 as per Policy #4250
