Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team.
As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial management skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including general ledger reconciliation, banking, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to the executive team in making informed financial decisions.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
This includes filing weekly employer tax and annual W-2.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Manage and maintain all licenses, titles and registrations for both the company and freight.
-Assist the executive team in annual insurance renewals for both business and healthcare.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial report writing
- Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to executive team
- Experience in public accounting is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $118,000.
00 - $125,000.
