POSITION SUMMARY:
A Junior Accountant will provide support to the Corporate Finance team by managing daily accounting tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and reconcile the company’s corporate credit cards, including audit, research, approvals, coding and reporting transactions by the deadline.
Research, process and interact with company and vendor personnel in processing invoices for Accounts Payable.
Code and enter AP invoices in company database for payment.
Identify, reconcile and clear un-invoiced AP, open purchase orders and AP invoices.
Maintain vendor records for AP.
Research, identify and assist in the resolution of other AP discrepancies.
Assist AP team with month end closing tasks and journal entries.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and strong quantitative and analytical competency.
Must be organized and attentive to details.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or 3-5 years work experience in accounting or other relevant disciplines.
