PIMS ADMINISTRATOR/ CHILD ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Successful completion of PIMS DQC Track Preferred
(if not, must be completed by the end of the 1st year of employment)
Knowledge of computer systems, electronic reporting, spreadsheets, sophisticated computer programs
2 - 3 years broad technical experience in a mixed platform environment.
Demonstrated fluency in common data reporting and manipulation tools such as Cognos, and Excel.
Proficiency in typing and organizational skills
Ability to communicate with personnel and community professionally
Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
Maturity and integrity when handling confidential data.
Flexibility and capability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to prioritize and work both independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for submitting PIMS data files exported from the District information systems to the PIMS State system, addressing errors resulting from file upload, and ensuring files loaded by State-identified deadline dates.
Attend and participate in regularly scheduled PIMS Data Quality Meetings at Delaware County Intermediate Unit and PDE Webinars.
Maintains procedural knowledge of state and federal guidelines for data reporting as well as technical knowledge of the systems used.
Responsible for coordinating various end-users including, but not limited to those users in the Child Accounting Department, Technology Department, Special Education Department, Human Resources Department, in addition to school secretaries and school administrators in reviewing reports, maintaining PIMS data in district information systems, and in meeting reporting deadlines, notifies staff of timelines, needs and requirements.
Responsible for reviewing updates to the PIMS Manuals and addressing changes as needed with end-users.
As needed, contact the PIMS Help Desk to log issues and/or questions on behalf of the district related to PIMS.
Serve as the School District child accounting contact person.
Instruct all School District personnel with respect to student data input.
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with school district personnel to keep them current regarding student data.
Issue informational notices regarding child accounting to appropriate school district personnel.
Respond to all questions from within and outside the district involving student data.
Ensure that all student information for which school subsidies are paid is reported accurately and on time.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Extraction of data files necessary for the upload of on-line curricular programs.
Support the extraction of student achievement data.
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000
