We’re searching for an enthusiastic and open-minded person to empower a non-speaking woman with autism to live a fulfilling and independent life.
As her communication partner, you will be trained to assist her in expressing herself with a letterboard and keyboard.
She is a bright and determined individual with a love for learning, and desire to make her voice heard.
She enjoys going out into the community, and experiencing the same things everybody else does, with your support.
About the role:
• Collaborate with her and a practitioner to become her communication partner.
• Support participation in activities she enjoys – think taking classes, fitness, reading, volunteering and more!
• Offer structure and support for daily routines and navigating life’s challenges.
• Honor her individuality - empower her choices and decision-making.
About you:
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude are essential.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism or other disabilities in preferred.
• Comfortable supporting a non-speaker.
She wants to listen and engage with you.
• Qualified background: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling or Social Work is required (BCBAs and RBTs are also welcome.

What we offer:
• Flexible Schedule: Work 8-12 hours per week, weekdays, tailored to your availability.
• Competitive Pay: $27-$30 per hour.
