*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, technical accounting, and financial analysis.
*Responsibilities:*
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger accounting and reconcile accounts
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights
- Assist with the implementation of accounting software systems and processes
- Stay updated on changes in securities laws and regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff members
*Requirements:*
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software systems (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, SAP)
- Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
