Overview: The Safegard Group, a regional insurance and risk management broker located in Media, PA, is recruiting a full-time Accounting Specialist.

Primary Job Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain positive relationships with Safegard’s clients.
Maintain accurate records within agency management system and electronic files.
Daily deposits of Checks & ACH payments; creating, cutting, and mailing checks (both operating and fiduciary) Correcting billing discrepancies AR follow up with carriers or clients.
Deciphering the different between Direct bill entry vs.
Agency bill Creating reports in AMS360 and completing customer service requests regarding invoices and payments End of month reporting Create basic spreadsheets/Word documents for clients/internal staff use.
Manipulate tables & formatting with Word.
Requirements: 3- 5 years of experience in accounting, College graduate Insurance accounting background preferred but not required Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of AMS360 Agency Management System preferred but not required Team-oriented with ability to lead when necessary and take direction well.
Handles responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Confidence in business and social settings.
Organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
