Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Summary: The Facilities Technician (FT) provides daily care and focused attention necessary to maintain a cleanly, efficient and operational environment within the facility and is responsible for maintenance, repairs, and sanitation at the direction of the Facilities Manager (FM).
Duties and Responsibilities: (Including the following, other duties may be assigned): The main responsibilities of the Facilities Technician include performing the respective maintenance and repairs necessary to maximize production and prevent failures within the facilities and internal departments while also maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
Responsible for daily sanitation procedures including bathrooms, hallways, break areas, and anything inside/outside of the facility.
Assisting with cultivation room clean-up following post-harvest operations
Restocks all PPE , trash, and restroom supplies throughout the building daily.
Perform minor repairs of all buildings and equipment with minimal supervision.
Perform major repairs at the direction and under the supervision of the (FM).
Major repairs may include working alongside and coordinating with external contractors or licensed tradesmen.
Repairs can include emergency situations and/or scheduled repairs.
Responsibly use and/or operate vehicles, tools, materials, parts, maintenance supplies and equipment when necessary and ensure that they are used safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Install and maintain new equipment (assembling racks, installing dehumidifiers, etc.
) at the direction of the (FM).
Monitoring receiving dock; communicating incoming deliveries & signing of packing slips after shipment verification
Follow maintenance and repair schedules set forth by the (FM) and ensure routine maintenance is performed in a timely and efficient manner.
Administrative Duties:
Maintains accurate records of repairs, equipment cleaning, maintenance and calibration and any other facility systems related logs assigned by the (FM).
Promptly reports any system failure, malfunction, or facility damage to the (FM)
Assist the (FM) with the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment, and maintenance procedures
Additionally: Assist in the completion of secondary Facilities tasks at the direction of the (FM) according to company needs.
Follow all aspects of the workplace safety program, biosafety program, and maintain compliance with all rules and regulations.
And maintain a clean and safe environment on the production floor.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Associates degree or technical qualifications related to plumbing, mechanical maintenance, HVAC/A.
C certification, engineering, logistics, or related field - Preferred
Work Experience:
Work history in facilities and/or maintenance/engineering or related qualifications, showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges - Required

Physical Requirements:
Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to climb an OSHA approved A-Frame ladder
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
Close visual focus required
This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects
Must pass state required background check (state mandated)
